大阪・関西万博（Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai）に完成した「ポーランド館」。 パヴィリオンのコンセプトは、“Poland. Heritage that drives the future.” ポーランドの歴史的・文化的遺産（heritage）を礎として、未来を切り拓く創造力や持続可能な発展を目指す姿勢を発信しています。建築デザインは、これらのコンセプトを視覚的に表現しつつ、「創造性」を象徴する流れるようなファサード形状と、自然素材を用いた持続可能性や自然との共生を表現。日本とポーランドの伝統文化が融合したデザインとなっています。照明計画では、この特徴的な木組みのファサードを真上方向の照射角度規制を守りつつ、2700Kの落ち着いた色温度に統一されたLED光源を用い、グランドレベルからのアップライトのみで印象的に浮かび上がらせています。これらの照明器具の配置は、3Dシミュレーションによって最も効果的に木組みの陰影が出る距離を割り出して設置されました。また内部展示の照明計画では、それぞれのエリアにおいて繊細な光の陰影の強弱を調整し、各展示のアーティストが意図する空間を際立たせています。ポーランドの伝統と革新の融合を象徴する、奥行きと立体感のある光の演出に加え、インタラクティブかつ感覚的な体験を創出しています。特に特徴的なコンサートホールでは、ショパンのピアノ演奏や映像展示に合わせて光の強弱や色調を調整し、五感でポーランド文化を体感できる光環境を計画しました。

Poland Pavilion for the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. It was designed with the concept of "Poland. Heritage that drives the future." It communicates a vision of sustainable progress and creative innovation, rooted in the historical and cultural heritage of the nation. The architectural design gives visual form to this concept, combining flowing, dynamic façade lines that symbolize creativity, with natural materials that express sustainability and harmony with nature. The result is a fusion of Japan’s tradition with the unique cultural identity of the country the pavilion represents. In the lighting design, the distinctive wooden lattice façade is dramatically illuminated using only uplighting from ground level, in compliance with restrictions on upward light emission. Warm 2700K LED fixtures are used throughout to create a unified and composed nighttime expression. The exact placement of each fixture was determined through 3D simulation to best highlight the intricate shadows and depth of the wooden structure. For the interior exhibition lighting, the balance of light and shadow is precisely adjusted in each zone to enhance the spatial intention of the artists involved. The lighting adds dimensionality and atmosphere, evoking both the tradition and innovation of Poland. In particular, the pavilion’s concert hall features a lighting environment designed to respond to live piano performances and video projections. Light intensity and color temperature are dynamically adjusted to create a multisensory experience, allowing visitors to fully engage with the cultural expression of the nation.
